Our Students

Our charter class of eleven students held their commencement in January, 2007 after 18 months of study. Each of them has a inspiring ministry vision. Please take time to read and hear their stories. You will be inspired.

Six graduates of Level One are continuing with Level Two, which they will complete in May, 2008. A new Level One group started in September, 2007.

Overview

The AFCM International Training Center (AFCMITC) video Bible School is a two-level, six-module program that will provide instruction in principles of faith/biblical studies, as well as training for domestic and/or international ministry. These modules provide valuable resource for believers at any stage of their growth and development.

Instructors are experienced ministers of the gospel who are practicing pastors, missionaries, and itinerant ministers. The modules are bite-size pieces that are manageable and fit in to your busy schedule.

In addition to the video lessons, the curriculum includes study outlines and exams for each course, required readings, and service requirements.

Founded by Dr. Julius "Jim" and Kathleen Kaseman in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, AFCM International Training Center began with live teaching and a video camera. Before the first year was out we received requests for video schools in Eastern Europe. Currently there are more than 600 Video Bible Training Centers around the world.

The program concludes with a student funded project to involve a local ministry outreach and/or a mission trip, preferably with AFCM’s One World Missions (www.oneworldmissions.com).

Level One (modules 1-3) consists of courses designed to build a foundation of the Word of God in the heart and life of your students. The courses challenge and compel them to become all that God has called them to be.

Level One courses include:

  • Basics of Faith
  • How to Study & Interpret the Bible
  • Submission and Authority
  • Grace
  • Ministerial Perspectives on Prosperity
  • Gifts of the Spirit
  • Doctrines of Christ
  • The Golden Rule: People Skills from God's Word

download the complete Level One course list

Level Two (modules 4-6) is especially designed for those who are called in to full time, five-fold ministry. Ministers will be established in a firm foundation and receive the Bible basics of qualifications for ministry.

AFCM International Training Center is presented in 57 courses packaged in six (6) modules. Each module includes approximately eight (8) courses with 65-84 total hours of teaching.

Level Two courses include:

  • Growing up Spiritually
  • Missions: Protocol & Ethics
  • Prayer that Prepares the Way
  • Accountability
  • Bibliology(Doctrine of God)
  • Effective Ministry
  • Traits of a Great Staff Member
  • Ministry Killers You Must Conquer

Key Hallmarks

  1. A key hallmark is to maintain excellence in teaching and training by qualified instructors both through precept and example.

  2. In addition to classroom requirements, students will be involved in practical ministry training.  This will be in the local church and other ministries.

  3. Students will be encouraged to be a blessing in their home, workplace, church, and wherever God calls them.

  4. The last hallmark is to instill a deep love for and devotion to the written Word of God, as final authority in all matters of life and ministry.

From the Pastors

Faith Bible School is an answer to prayer. Twenty-three years ago when we started Faith Walk World Outreach Center , we had a dream of one day having a Bible School that would train people for vocational ministry and lay ministry. You can stay right here in your community and receive anointed teaching from all over the USA . We know that Faith Bible School will bless you and cause you to follow God’s will for you life.

In Jesus Power and Might,
Pastors Scott and Tonya Culley

From the Founders of AFCM

We welcome you, the Class of 2005!  When God dropped it in our hearts to start a Bible Training Center for the purpose of training leaders to reach the world, we knew He had people already in His plan to attend.  Thank you for obeying God in His plan for you, your country, and the world.  You are a part of a Bible School that is already reaching over twenty countries by the videotapes.  We believe the faculty is God ordained and they are some of the best instructors in the Word of Faith movement.

 In Him,

Dr. Jim and Rev. Kathleen Kaseman, Founders
AFCM International Training Center

From the Directors

We have been born again and Spirit-filled for over 30 years, but we did not learn to live victoriously until we began to learn the Word of Faith. Every step of the way since then, the Lord has transformed us, deepened our faith, and given us opportunities and adventures that we would not have dreamed were possible.

The Holy Spirit dropped the AFCM Bible School into our hearts when we heard Jim Kaseman say that the School was being videotaped and translated for use in Hungary.  Since then, we have founded a Bible School in eastern Slovakia and helped start a Bible School in Malawi, Africa. Our personal vision is to be involved in the development of AFCM International Training Center online to reach people on every continent who want to learn, but do not have access to a Bible School where they live. The scripture that motivates us is Hab. 2:14 “And all the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the Lord as the waters cover the sea.“

What blessings are in store for you as you learn from anointed teachers with years of ministry experience! As professional educators, we understand how challenging higher education is, and we are here to help and encourage you in any way we can. We sincerely believe that your decision to invest your time, energy, and money to complete this curriculum will be one of the most rewarding you have every made and that the payoffs will be immeasurable and last a lifetime. We can hardly wait to see what the Lord will do through your life.

With love in Christ,

From the AFCMITC Director

Welcome to AFCM International Training Center !  As an AFCMITC graduate myself, I know this year will not only be an exciting year for you, but it will also be a year of tremendous growth.

You will be trained in the Word, enabling you to grow personally and help spread the Gospel world wide.  God directed Kathleen and Jim Kaseman when they sought Him about the selection of teachers for AFCMITC.  As a result your teachers are gifted to teach.  They have studied their topics for years.  As you draw from their anointing, you will find the impartation you receive will stir similar gifts in yourself.  I pray you will arrive at each class expecting to learn and grow in God’s plan for you.

Your director is there to help you, so please contact him/her whenever it is necessary.  I am here to be of help and answer any questions your director may have.  I would love to hear from you, so please send your testimony of what the school has done for you.  You are in my prayers and I want this year to be the best for you.

Schedule

Classes are scheduled as flexibly as possible to meet the needs of working adults. There are two, three-hour sessions per week. Students can choose between morning classes (8:30 - 11:30) or evening (6:00 - 9:00). Each class group is allowed to make adjustments to have the most workable schedule for the group. Morning classes usually meet on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Evening classes usually meet on Mondays or Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Each module takes 3 1/2 to 4 months. There is a one-month break at Christmas and a three-month break for summer. Completion of Level One or Level Two takes approximately eighteen months.

Make-up times for missed sessions are the responsibility of the student, but all sessions must be completed. Exams can be taken on a flexible schedule when the student is prepared. Readings may also be completed on an individual schedule, but a short written assignment for each reading must be submitted to meet graduation requirements.

Admission Information

To be admitted, applicants must be born again and open to the baptism with the Holy Spirit. They must have a high school diploma or GED certificate and complete an Application for Admission.

Download forms:

Tuition

Tuition varies based on the number of students enrolled. Please check with the Directors for current tuition. Tuition is charged at the beginning of each module.

Scholarships

A limited number of scholarships are available. To apply for a scholarship, complete the Scholarship Application and return it to the Director with the completed Application for Admission. Scholarship Applications will be reviewed by the Scholarship Committee, which will make all decisions regarding scholarship awards.

Auditing Courses

People who are not enrolled as students may audit courses (participate without doing the reading or taking the exam) at a cost of $2 per lesson. Audit registration will be open for one week prior to the start of each course. The entire registration fee must be paid in advance. At the discretion of the Director, audit registrations may be limited.

Advice from the Directors

We are so glad that you are considering enrolling in Faith Bible School. We sincerely believe that it will be one of the best investments of time, energy, and money that you will every make. If you believe that the Lord is leading you to enroll, please don’t let anything stop you. Jesus Christ Himself has already overcome every obstacle that stands in your way.

We are professional educators with many years of college and university teaching experience. We have worked with innumerable students who returned to school after several years and were insecure about their academic abilities. These students were usually very successful because of their high motivation and valuable life experiences. However, you may find that the first few weeks are challenging, just as you would if you were beginning an exercise program.

Here are some of the things you can expect, and you should weigh them in your decision to enroll. You will be spending six hours per week in class and will probably need to spend another two to four hours per week reading, completing assignments, and studying. The reading load is significant, but should not be overwhelming. Do not be intimidated by the thought of taking exams. The exams are not difficult, but reviewing for them will help you remember the important things you are learning. We will do everything we possibly can to help you be successful, but you will have to be disciplined to achieve your goal.

As you probably know, Faith Bible School is video-based, but the videos are “real.”  The Association of Faith Churches and Ministers International Training Center (AFCMITC) brought together the best teachers available, people with years of successful ministry experience, and they were teaching real students just like you. It would be impossible for you to get “in-person” teaching of this scope and quality, so it is a great blessing that the curriculum was videotaped. This curriculum is being successfully used in many places in the U.S. , Canada , and around the world. It has already been translated into over twenty languages.

We are launching the first year of what is potentially a three-year program. Year one, which will take eighteen months to complete, will provide you with a very solid foundation and may be all you will need. Students who complete year one will participate in a graduation ceremony and receive a diploma.

If you compare this cost of Faith Bible School to that of any other higher education available, you will discover that it is extremely reasonable, particularly because it enables you to continue your education without leaving the Quad Cities.

Higher education is one of the most valuable things you can do for yourself and your future. In this case, it will also be valuable to the Kingdom of God . It is also a wonderful, life-changing adventure. We hope you will decide to join us and your classmates. Please talk with us if you have questions.

Student Policies

Conduct Code

It is our desire to create an atmosphere in which students can develop to their full potential.  The goal for our school and its students is excellence.  To achieve this goal, there are certain policies that must be in place.  We expect each student to live a lifestyle that glorifies Jesus Christ.

There are certain kinds of conduct that are grounds for immediate dismissal from Bible school.  These include conduct relating to:  use of tobacco products or any illegal or habit-forming drugs, drinking alcohol (including wine), homosexuality, pornography, adultery, or fornication.  Any other conduct that is in violation of state or national laws will be subject to dismissal from school.

Discipline

The Director will handle any discipline problems that may arise.  Any student acting in a manner to discredit the Kingdom of God and Faith Bible School will be subject to dismissal.

Dress Code

Faith Bible School seeks to provide an atmosphere conducive to learning and personal development. Please dress appropriately and modestly for all class sessions.

Address, Telephone Changes

Students making address or telephone changes must notify the Director as soon as possible.

Class Attendance Policy

Attendance is required in all classes. We do not expect students to be absent.  There are no excused absences unless granted by the Director. Students are to call the Director regarding any absence.  During each tri-mester, the maximum number of missed days is four (or 12 sessions). Special arrangements will be made for students who must miss class because of ministry responsibilities. If there is an emergency situation, it will be reviewed by the Director. Incurring more absences than those allowed will result in failure for that tri-mester. Students are responsible to arrange with the Director to make up all missed sessions.

Tardiness

Classes start promptly on schedule. Students arriving more than five minutes late will be counted absent for that session.

Students may not leave the classroom after doors are closed except in cases of emergency.

Make-Up Examinations

If the student is absent during the exam time and needs to take the exam at another time, a fee of $5.00 will be charged unless waived by the Director.  Arrangements for making up an exam must be made with the Director, initiated by the student.
