Discipleship Resource CenterThe Discipleship Resource Center, slated to open in February, 2008, is part of Faith Walk's infrastructure for church growth. It supports the continual discipleship and growth of believers. Resources include books, mini-books, current Christian magazines, audio CDs, videos, and software. The focus of the Center is to acquire and circulate resources that teach people how to walk by faith and make Christianity their lifestyle. It includes all the required readings for the AFCMITC video Bible school so that students can check out the books rather than buying them. The Center is currently housed in the Faith Bible School classroom. It will be open for browsing and check-out of resources before and after worship services. The Center accepts donation of resources from its growing list of "trusted authors/teachers." All FWWOC sermons will be available for check out on audio CD. Recognizing that many people learn more readily by listening than by reading or feel that their schedule does not allow them time to sit and read, the Center will have a large collection of audio resources that can be used in the car or anywhere a CD player is available. The Discipleship Resource Center Team, which is responsible for developing and will managing the Center, is producing a series of audio books. Current Resouce List (as of 1/10/2008)

Translation/Production Center
Chichewa ProjectThe translation/production center is producing Level One of Faith Bible School in Chichewa language for Malawi, Africa in cooperation with missionary Konnie Zude, and Pastor Stephen Banda's group of churches (Apostolic Church of Pentecost). Our lead interpreters are Pastor Eliam and Florida Kalande. This project originated when Pastor Scott Culley returned from a Missions trip to Malawi. The roles of the Translation/Production Center, in conjunction with Art and Suzanne Pitz Ministries and the Chichewa Team, which supports the project financially and through prayer, are to:
Computer Lesson in Lilongwe for
Faith Bible School Interpreters More about conditions in Malawi and Eliam and Florida's faithful work from Konnie's recent newsletter: We are still working on the translation of the video Bible school. Much of the time, our progress is slow and I have to encourage myself that we are moving ahead inch by inch. I also take time to remind myself that nothing happens fast in Malawi! Ughhh! Pastor Eliam Kalande is nearing the end of translating a 15 hour course called the Basic of Faith. His wife, Florida, has finished translating a 6 hour teaching on the Holy Spirit. She and I enjoyed working through this class very much and finished it feeling changed by the truths presented in it. She has just begun translation of a 12 hour course on Submission and Authority. I can not begin to describe to you the faithfulness of these two precious people who are working on the translations. We covet your constant prayers for Eliam and Florida and their family. The day-to-day obstacles of simply existing would be unbelievable to you and on top of that there is their ‘9-to-5’ job. (Florida is currently teaching 120 second grade students between the ages of 7 and 12 by herself in a classroom with no desks and no textbooks.) (Pastor Eliam and Florida recently had to travel to a rural village to attend the funeral of a village chief. Once you reach the minibus drop off, it is a good 45 minute walk to the church. Florida went even though she was suffering from malaria. A week later, a new church had a member die. Florida was sent to help this new church make the proper arrangements as they had no experience in handling the funeral. She managed to catch a mini-bus going to her home area at 10:30pm. From the bus drop, her home is at least another 25 minute walk.) Plus they have family obligations which extends far beyond their own 5 children. (This week Florida and I could not meet because 2 year old Triumph had chicken pox and needed to be taken to the hospital. Eliam’s uncle died about 2 months ago. He was required to escort the body back to the village and make most of the funeral arrangements as well as cover a lot of the finances involved in that.) Plus work on the translating of the video Bible school. (Each 50 minute lesson requires about 4 hours of their time. When do they have time to translate??? Often it is late and even into the middle of the night.) You might think…I have had weeks like that where everything and anything that can go wrong – DOES! But a typical Malawian doesn’t experience a bad week here and a bad week there. Stuff like this is an almost daily occurrence and it happens in the midst of a life that has little modern conveniences. They have no car of their own, no running water to their house, no electricity at night, no fast food to pick up when you are exhausted and the kids are hungry. And what is even more amazing to me is that in the whole 3 years that I have been here, I have never – not once – ever heard them complain! Oh, that God would give me the faithfulness and perseverance of Eliam and Florida! I am so thankful for their example and for their love for and encouragement of me when I am tired, frustrated, and complaining about life in Malawi. Equipment
Sierra Leone ProjectAs of August, 2007, we are sponsoring an English-language Faith Bible School in Freetown, Sierra Leone, West Africa in partnership with Pastors Abdul and Faith Conteh of Living Word Christian Center. When you visit the website, be sure to read about Pastor Abdul's vision and the powerful ministries to women and children. The school operates in two locations in Freetown and will soon be launched in Makeni Town. It is supported by a Sierra Leone Team, which gives financial and prayer support. The Bible School project has already given rise to a related mission, House of Hope, which is raising funds to complete an orphanage for thirty children by Mothers Day, 2008. Listen to the story. This project began on Easter Day, 2007 when Prophetess Faith Conteh e-mailed FBS Director Suzanne Pitz with this request: Beloved in the Lord, Calvary greetings. Going through you site and seeing all God is doing through you, I am lead by the Spirit of God to ask you to come to our nation with your dynamic teachings to equipped Christians for this endtime. As a muslim dominated nation it is only through knowledge of God's word we will be able to take this nation for Christ. So we are therefore calling on your school to be established here in Sierra Leone. We look forward to your prompt respond. God bless you as you be a blessing.
Yours in His Vineyard,
